Brothers on the Rise (BOTR) is a wellness and fitness services organization based in Oakland, California, that addresses challenges disproportionately affecting low-income male youth of color, including exposure to violence, high school dropout, unemployment, incarceration, and death by homicide. The organization directly serves more than 100 youth annually in Oakland public schools and parks and extends its impact through training and technical assistance to Bay Area schools and agencies.
