Bruin Racing is a student-run engineering organization at the University of California, Los Angeles, focused on creating competition-grade vehicles for collegiate design series. Founded in 2010 by UCLA students involved in SAE programs, the group has broadened from its initial Baja and SuperMileage roots to include Formula SAE as well, enabling members to work on vehicles built around ruggedness, speed, and efficiency. Through design, construction, and testing of prototype cars, the team provides hands-on experience that complements formal coursework.

Its primary customers are the students at UCLA who participate in these programs, and the venture addresses gaps in practical engineering and teamwork opportunities not always available in the classroom. Participants develop broad competencies across vehicle development and business functions such as accounting, purchasing, and securing funding, preparing them for diverse roles after graduation. The organization is based in Los Angeles, California, and operates as a mid-sized program within the motor vehicle manufacturing sector, aligning with competitive collegiate teams that design, build, and test vehicles.
