Buchanan Art Center is a 501c3 nonprofit organization located at 117 W Front St, Buchanan, Michigan, 49107. The Buchanan Art Center strives to enlist the power of the arts in promoting positive social change. We provide a place in our community that nurtures the arts through quality art classes, workshops, and events that spark creativity and invite participation from people of all ages. We present gallery exhibits to showcase the works of area artists and operate a gift shop in our facility where local artists sell their work and gain recognition. With a large group of dedicated volunteers and a membership of more than 200 individuals, the Buchanan Art Center is an active cultural resource in a small rural community that celebrates creativity and fosters creative expression. The Buchanan Art Center offers a wide variety of art classes for people of all ages, taught by experienced, skilled instructors. Our classes give people a hands-on experience in the arts in an era when observing has become more commonplace than participating. The BAC spans generations in the delivery of arts education, enjoyment, and appreciation. Our Roti Roti Gallery, ShowPlace Gallery, Hess Library Gallery, and ShowCases feature the works of local artists in exhibits that typically change every six weeks. In our gift shop, you will find a selection of original wall art, pottery, and fine jewelry, as well as prints, greeting cards, ornaments, home decor, and a variety of other unique items . . . all the works of local artists. There is no charge to visit our galleries and enjoy the talents of our local artists.
