BCA was open from 2020 to 2025. BCA was an independent, tuition-free public charter school. What made BCA unique was we were are a Cambridge International School and we had a Civil Air Patrol Cadet Squadron. Cambridge is a world-renowned global education program respected by colleges and universities and the Civil Air Patrol is an Air Force-based, youth program similar to AFJROTC. As Cambridge learners, our students learned to be; confident, responsible, reflective, innovative, and engaged. As Civil Air Patrol cadets, our students learned to wear the Air Force uniform, military drill, aeronautical science, STEM, and they learned to live by the values of; integrity, volunteer service, excellence, and respect. Our college preparatory program was based on NYS standards, we used the iREady program for Math and ELA, we used the SAVASS program for Social Studies and Science. We educated students in the 5h, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.
