The Bureau of Reclamation is a U.S. government agency within the Department of the Interior, founded in 1902 and based in Washington, D.C. It built dams, power plants, and canals across 17 western states, with more than 600 dams and reservoirs including Hoover Dam and Grand Coulee. Today it serves as the largest water wholesaler in the United States, delivering water to more than 31 million people.
