Burns Recovered (BRSG) began in 1983 with a group of burn survivors and the assistance of members of the burn care team at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center.   BRSG includes a dynamic team of individuals from the public, corporate, medical and fire service communities who are committed to providing support and hope in the journey of recovery from the trauma of burns.  We help those injured by burns to make the transition from burn victims to burn survivors.  Our mission is to support burn survivors in their recovery; to assist medical facilities in the care of burns;  and to prevent injury and death from burns through community education and outreach.
