Busch Wildlife Sanctuary, based in Jupiter, Florida, operates a wildlife hospital that provides free medical and rehabilitative care to injured wildlife, treating nearly 6,000 animals each year. About 90% of the injuries are related to human activities, including vehicle collisions, fishing-line entanglement, electrocutions, gunshots, poisonings, and dog or cat attacks. Beyond treatment, the sanctuary runs community outreach programs that engage more than 125,000 children and adults annually. It is open to the public for a donation and offers regularly scheduled programs about nature, wildlife, and environmental issues. In 2023, the Jupiter location expanded to a larger Jupiter Farms site, with about 200 animals moving to the expanded facility.
