Busch Wildlife Sanctuary, based in Jupiter, Florida, operates a wildlife hospital that provides free medical and rehabilitative care to injured wildlife, treating nearly 6,000 animals each year. About 90% of the injuries are related to human activities, including vehicle collisions, fishing-line entanglement, electrocutions, gunshots, poisonings, and dog or cat attacks.
