It also seeks to attract foreign investment into France and to promote the country's attractiveness and the international image of its firms and territories. Created on January 1, 2015 from the merger of UBIFRANCE and AFII, it operates through a network of public and private partners and manages the V.I.E program. Based in Paris, Ile-de-France, the organization is staffed by around 1,500 people and works across France and in about 70 countries. Its mandate encompasses coordinating international development efforts and leveraging partnerships to support France's economic engagement abroad. In 2026, it pursued concrete collaborations, such as renewing a partnership with Investissement Quebec International to support cross-border exports and investment between France and Quebec.
