The College came into existence on 1st August 2012 following the merger of Buxton College, Leek College into the University of Derby. Buxton & Leek College is proud to be part of the University of Derby, a Top 30 University in The Guardian University Guide 2019 and rated Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF). This unique position offers students a seamless transition from Level 1 all the way through to University Level courses such as Foundation Degrees, Bachelor Degrees, Masters Degrees and PhDs. All University Level courses at Buxton & Leek College are validated by the University of Derby and students are invited to celebrate the completion of their qualifications at the University Graduation Ceremonies.
