California Waste Recovery Systems, founded in 1927 by the Vaccarezza family, is the largest, locally-owned waste collection and recycling company in the region. It provides residential, commercial, and industrial services (including concrete and paint washout) to areas throughout San Joaquin, Sacramento and Calaveras counties. Its fleet of clean, white trucks services approximately 16,000 customers twice a week, totaling more than 1.6 million visits per year.
