Founded in 1993, the California Institute for Behavioral Health Solutions (CIBHS) is an independent non-profit organization, that works to advance a more equitable behavioral health system for the people of California and across the nation. 

CIBHS provides clinical and non-clinical trainings, integrated third party administration (TPA) services, and technical assistance to state agencies, counties, providers, and other related organizations to respond effectively to the behavioral health needs of our communities. Our technical areas of focus and expertise, include evidence based practices (EBPs) and community defined evidence practices (CDEPs), substance use disorders, mental health & wellness, workforce & leadership development, health equity, youth; and implementation science/systems change. 

CIBHS is a mission driven team of behavioral health clinical experts, practitioners, organizational effectiveness professionals, and community engagement specialists with lived experience who are passionate about working through the various levels of the behavioral health delivery system  to improve health outcomes, empower providers, and foster healthier communities through approaches that are grounded in community voice, clinical rigor, and implementation science.
