The California School of Herbal Studies is an educational institution focused on herbal education within the alternative medicine sector, based in Forestville, Sonoma County, California. Founded in 1978 by Rosemary Gladstar, it is among the oldest herbal education centers in North America and is currently led by school director Rebecca Maxfield with a skilled staff of teachers. Graduates of the intensive program may advance to a second-year Community Herbalist track and receive completion certificates recognized within the herbal community.
