Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service is a government agency responsible for delivering fire and rescue services to about 700,000 people across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. Its headquarters are in Huntingdon, England, where the senior management team, the control room, central operational units, and many support staff coordinate frontline activity. The service operates around 27 fire stations, seven of which are staffed by wholetime firefighters and the remainder by on-call crews. As a public safety organization within the government administration sector, it serves local residents by responding to emergencies and supporting prevention efforts. It operates across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to manage emergency response and safety education. In recent years, it has formed a partnership with the RNLI to provide more lifesaving guidance at throwline stations.
