Campus Vote Project is a mid-sized nonprofit based in Washington, DC, founded in 2012 by the Fair Elections Center. It supports college communities by enabling collaboration between campus administrators and local election officials to make voting easier and to address barriers such as residency rules, registration deadlines, and stringent voter ID requirements. The initiative primarily serves universities, their students, faculty and staff, along with election partners involved in campus voting access. Recent activity includes a 2023 partnership with All Voting is Local to collaborate on student voting access. CVP has previously built programs through partnerships, notably the 2018 launch of the Voter Friendly Campus program with NASPA, and in 2023 it issued a list of voter-friendly campuses that recognized UW-Madison with a campus badge.
