The CAN Council serves Arenac, Bay, Huron and Saginaw counties through the following programs:

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) are highly trained volunteers serving as the voice for children who are in the court system due to abuse and neglect. Each CASA volunteer advocates on behalf of one child or sibling group at a time. These volunteers stay with each case until it is closed and the children are placed in a safe, permanent home.

Children’s Advocacy Centers (CAC) provide a safe, supportive environment in which children who have been physically or sexually abused or have witnessed a violent act can be interviewed and examined.

Child Abuse Prevention Education (CAPE) raises awareness of the prevalence of child abuse and neglect and educates K-12 students, parents and professionals providing tools to ensure a safer community for all.
