Founded in 2002 by the Chairman and two of the principal partners of the Corporate Finance and Banking Department of a major Hato Rey law firm, we operate as a full service firm. Our diverse legal practices enable us to offer practical advice, and quality legal representation, based on the particular needs of each client.

Since our organization, we have been recognized as one of the leading corporate law firms in Puerto Rico. Our founding and managing partner, Juan Ramón Cancio, brings over 40 years of experience in the practice of corporate and business law with emphasis in banking, municipal finance, securities, health and real estate law. The other two proprietary partners, Jorge Covas and Carlos Santiago, each has over 20 years of experience, and together with Mr. Cancio have been involved in hundreds of complex corporate and financial transactions, including project finance, mergers and acquisitions and workouts. 

Since its inception, CCS has been engaged in an ever increasing amount of litigation in local and federal courts. The Firm regularly appears before the Puerto Rico Superior, Appellate and Supreme Courts, as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
