Based in Cardiff, Wales, Canolfan Mileniwm Cymru—Wales Millennium Centre—operates in the performing arts sector as a national cultural hub. It curates touring productions across musical theatre, comedy, dance and cabaret, alongside an international festival, delivering performances that are regarded for quality. The venue serves a diverse audience and aims to spark imagination and engagement with the arts. Beyond presenting performances, the centre develops new work rooted in Welsh culture and supports emerging talent through original, contemporary pieces that resonate with audiences. It also offers learning experiences designed to inspire young people and provide opportunities to participate in the arts. A notable recent development is the 2024 launch of Theatre Makers, an initiative to empower young people aged 14-25 to break into the creative sector.
