Capital IDEA is a nonprofit organization based in Austin, Texas, focused on workforce development in Central Texas. It helps working adults escape poverty and move into living-wage careers by connecting underemployed individuals with employers seeking skilled workers. The program provides financial and emotional support to non-traditional students to help them succeed in college and achieve self-sufficiency, leveraging more than fifteen years of experience and having assisted nearly 1,200 low-income adults since 1998.

The organization operates within the nonprofit sector to bridge education and employment across a five-county region, aligning student pathways with local employers' needs. For collaboration and degree completion, Capital IDEA has worked with higher education partners, including a partnership with Concordia University Texas that began in 2022.
