Our Story Captain Jay’s was founded in 2003 by a man with a vision. Captain Jay’s is not a fast-food chain, it is a one stop shop where you can swing by and buy dinner for your family and pick up a gallon of milk or carton of eggs. Over the last decade, Captain Jay’s has expanded to include over twenty locations spread throughout Detroit, Grand Rapids and Indianapolis. We offer a variety of grain foods, dairy products, vegetables, produce, fresh seafood, fresh shrimp, and fresh poultry in our markets. Our customers are able to purchase the freshest fish/shellfish and chicken available in any market, and cook it with their families at home. For your convenience, Captain Jay’s Fish & Chicken also offers the service of frying your fresh poultry and seafood with an additional minimal cost. Our mission is to not only provide our customers with the freshest produce, poultry, and seafood, but also offer different services and additional core products in our mini mart in order to create a comprehensive experience which will ease the lives of our customers.
