Carmarthen Women's Aid provide support services and crisis accomodation to women, men, and children who have/are experiencing domestic abuse. Company Overview Carmarthen Women's Aid was founded in 1978 and continues to successfully support women and children who have/are experiencing domestic abuse. Domestic abuse can occur in intimate and family relationships including same sex relationships. Domestic Abuse includes many different forms of abuse; physical, emotional, financial, sexual and isolation. Description Carmarthen Domestic Abuse Services aims to provide a holistic, quality support and information service for women, children, and men affected by domestic abuse: Tel - 01267 238410 01267 222009 24 hr helpline: 08088010800 Text - 07896546949 General information Drop in/Outreach Information Centre - 10-1 Monday to Friday. Appointments can be made for the afternoon outside these hours. Men Too - We recognise that men can also experience domestic abuse. Drop In is from 2 - 4 on Tuesdays and appointments can be made outside of these hours. Floating Support - County wide floating support scheme. The scheme provides intensive, in depth and structured support to help women to retain their tenancy and prevent homelessness. Crisis refuge accommodation - Five en suite with kitchenette rooms suitable for families and/or single women. Child Support- Our child workers offer support for children who have/are suffering domestic abuse. Support is available through 1-1 sessions, Group Work and after school craft clubs. Counselling - a service provided by fully qualified counsellors for any woman who has experienced domestic abuse. A range of events, activities and programmes are also on offer throughout the year. 'Freedom Programme' - Three 12 week sessions will be held throughout the year. Please contact us if you are interested in attending.
