Carry The Load is a Texas-based non-profit organization focused on preserving the meaning of Memorial Day through national and local gatherings, storytelling, and education that honor those who carried the load for others. Originating in 2011 as a grassroots effort by two Navy SEALs, the organization has grown into a nationwide movement that invites participation in events and initiatives throughout Memorial May and other patriotic observances. Its programs center on awareness, continuum of care, and education, aiming to raise understanding of Memorial Day, support military personnel, veterans, first responders, and their families, and provide resources for youth to learn about everyday heroes. The organization collaborates with corporate and non-profit partners to fund and support services such as counseling, job placement, suicide prevention, adaptive training, and therapies, while also offering youth education under its Carry The Flag program. Based in Dallas, Carry The Load operates with a mission to unite Americans in appreciation of sacrifices made by a few who carried the load for all.
