Catholic International University is a higher education institution that provides online programs across Catholic theology, faith development, liberal arts, science, and technology. The programs are designed to support both academic learning and spiritual growth, offering flexibility for working adults, professionals, parents, military personnel, clergy, and those in religious life who seek to deepen their faith or gain credentials for church work or ministry. Based in Charles Town, West Virginia, the university serves a global student body and has educated thousands of students worldwide. The institution operates with a mid-sized staff. Its mission is to articulate Catholic perspectives in support of the New Evangelization, pursuing truth through personal and relational online study that integrates faith formation with scholarly inquiry to foster faith, leadership, and service. In May 2025, CIU announced a partnership with John Paul the Great College in Belize, expanding its collaborative reach with Catholic higher education institutions.
