Catnip Casa Cat Refuge is a nonprofit-focused organization based in Austin, Texas, that provides specialized care for cats with age-related, disease, or behavioral challenges that prevent them from remaining in their homes or community. The refuge accepts cats that are unadoptable in most shelters or unable to function in their natural environment, offering rehabilitation and lifelong pawspice care to support a potential transition to loving homes when possible. Its work includes caregiver training, education for owners and professionals, and the development of networks of foster homes and services to keep senior and special needs cats out of shelters. The organization also mentors trappers and supports trap-neuter-release efforts for community cats, positioning itself within the philanthropic fundraising services landscape with a focus on targeted, need-specific feline care and public education.
