The Center for Caregiver Advancement (CCA) is the most experienced provider of training for long-term care workers in California. Our mission is to build the workforce of highly trained caregivers that many Californians cannot live without. We champion accessible training for all caregivers. We believe that trained caregivers should be respected and valued professionals who improve the quality of life for their care recipients and save money for our overburdened healthcare system. Research studies show that training caregivers leads to a 30% reduction in hospital readmissions, and a 25% decrease in ER visits. Our efforts will create jobs and upward mobility for the millions of people who are needed as caregivers in California. With more baby boomers approaching retirement age and the need for long-term care, we are facing a care crisis, with systemic pressures and the need for growth of the long-term care workforce. CCA is working to enhance the skills of direct care workers (predominantly immigrants & women of color) that are needed to support our aging population and people with disabilities.
