With a vision to create a comfortable, welcoming hospital where everyone receives world-class care and service, three well-established, local veterinarians came together in 2011 to form The COVE, a 24-hour Center Of Veterinary Expertise. Since then, through the support of primary care veterinarians and pet owners across the region, we remain the forerunner in 24/7 emergency and board-certified specialty care for animals throughout Hampton Roads, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, the Peninsula, and beyond. We've taken the best in progressive medicine and personal service and blended it together to create a recipe for truly exceptional, collaborative care. 

With over 5,000 square feet of custom-built space, The COVE provides specialized care specialists in Cardiology, Emergency/Critical Care, and Surgery, and also accepts referrals for advanced Dentistry and Oral Surgery.

Appointments for specialty services are welcome via referral from a primary care veterinarian. No appointment or referral is necessary for emergency care.
