Central Pierce Fire & Rescue proudly serves a growing and diverse community in Pierce County, Washington. Our mission is simple yet powerful: People Helping People. Every day, our firefighters, paramedics, and support staff respond with compassion, courage, humility, ownership, and trust — the values that define who we are and how we serve. From emergency medical services and fire suppression to technical rescue, prevention, and community risk reduction, we’re dedicated to protecting lives, property, and the environment. As an all-hazards fire district, we serve more than 328,000 community members from 20 fire stations across two cities and unincorporated communities. But beyond emergency response, we believe in being part of the fabric of the communities we protect — educating youth, supporting local events, and investing in the next generation of fire service professionals. Currently, the fire district employs approximately 580 members, with 510 uniformed personnel and 70 civilian personnel.
