The Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Nice (CHU de Nice) is a public hospital and university health institution located at 4 Avenue Reine-Victoria, Nice, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of France. It became a university hospital in 1973 with the creation of the Faculty of Medicine and trains students and interns in medicine and dentistry, as well as nurses, midwives, aides-soignants, ambulance personnel and physiotherapists. The CHU de Nice pursues three essential missions: care (diagnosis, prevention, education), teaching (medical and paramedical training of about 1,000 students per year), and research-innovation (contribution to advances in medical and pharmaceutical sciences). The organization operates across five sites in Nice and Tende (Pasteur 1 and 2, Archet 1 and 2, Cimiez, Riquier and Tende) offering a coordinated range of services with a total capacity of 1,668 beds and 204 places. Recent notable collaborations include a strategic partnership with Emirates Hospitals Group announced in February 2026 and an engagement with Dentsply Sirona in 2023 to establish an Odontology Centre for the university's Oral Medicine, Oral Surgery and Dentofacial Orthopaedics specialties.
