The Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Nice (CHU de Nice) is a public hospital and university health institution located at 4 Avenue Reine-Victoria, Nice, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of France. It became a university hospital in 1973 with the creation of the Faculty of Medicine and trains students and interns in medicine and dentistry, as well as nurses, midwives, aides-soignants, ambulance personnel and physiotherapists. The CHU de Nice pursues three essential missions: care (diagnosis, prevention, education), teaching (medical and paramedical training of about 1,000 students per year), and research-innovation (contribution to advances in medical and pharmaceutical sciences). The organization operates across five sites in Nice and Tende (Pasteur 1 and 2, Archet 1 and 2, Cimiez, Riquier and Tende) offering a coordinated range of services with a total capacity of 1,668 beds and 204 places.
