Centro Legal de la Raza is a legal services agency protecting and advancing the rights of low-income, immigrant, Black, and Latinx communities through bilingual legal representation, education, and advocacy. Founded in 1969 and headquartered in Oakland, CA, Centro combines free legal services with know-your-rights education and youth development. Centro ensures access to justice for thousands of individuals each year. Our three legal practice areas include immigrants’ rights, tenants’ rights, and workers’ rights. The Youth Law Academy and the Diversity Legal Pipeline work to inspire the next generation of legal leaders and promote diversity in the law field. In addition to providing free legal services, Centro also advocates for policies that further safeguard the rights of immigrants, tenants, and workers.
