The Chicago District Golf Association (CDGA) serves as the recognized governing authority for amateur golf in its region, with authorization from the USGA. It operates as a membership organization that includes more than 102,000 individual golfers and 400 clubs across Illinois and parts of Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin. For golfers, the CDGA provides a USGA Handicap Index, member benefits, and opportunities to compete; for clubs, it delivers Course Rating and Slope Rating services, turfgrass diagnostics, and educational seminars. The CDGA advances golf accessibility through outreach programs that emphasize therapeutic and recreational participation for individuals with special needs, youth, and veterans. It is based in Lemont, Illinois, and was founded on March 18, 1914, making it one of the oldest golf associations in the United States. In October 2023, the organization announced a partnership with NFL figure Robbie Gould to serve as a brand ambassador." } ) } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } }
