Purpose:

Chicago Medical Society (CMS) was founded in 1850 and just celebrated its 150th anniversary. The Society cultivates the science and art of medicine, the interchange of professional experience, and the encouragement of professional zeal among its members.

Membership:

Membership is composed of nearly 7,000 professionals in specialties across Cook County. Membership is open to all medical students, residents, physicians active in practice, academicians and retired physicians.
