Children's HeartLink works to transform pediatric heart care in underserved parts of the world by organizing long-term partnerships with hospitals in Brazil, China, India, Malaysia and Vietnam to provide lifesaving heart procedures for children. It leads multi-year training collaborations with medical volunteer teams from leading teaching and research institutions to build local capacity for high-quality, team-based care, and centers of excellence emerge from these efforts to train other pediatric cardiac specialists in low-resource environments. This train-the-trainer model is designed to expand access by spreading expertise through local networks. Headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the organization operates within the hospitals and health care sector and collaborates with facilities across multiple countries to extend access to pediatric heart care. At partner hospitals, a lifesaving heart procedure occurs for a child roughly every 41 minutes. In November 2024, the organization established an International Policy and Advocacy Advisory Board to strengthen global efforts.
