HeartGift Foundation is a United States–based nonprofit focused on ensuring children with congenital heart defects receive life-saving surgery where access to specialized care is limited or unavailable. It coordinates a growing global network of hospitals, medical professionals, volunteers, and nonprofit partners to deliver high-quality surgical care at no cost to families. Since its founding, the organization has provided life-saving care to more than 1,800 children from 37 countries and operates in 10 countries. Beyond surgery, HeartGift trains and mentors medical staff and works to strengthen hospital systems to expand local surgical capacity in low-resource settings. It maintains a lean, transparent model, with 88 cents of every dollar directed to program services. In early 2026, the organization announced a partnership with Samaritan's Purse International to connect families with U.S. hospitals willing to provide life-saving cardiac procedures.
