Children’s Law Center, based in Washington, DC, uses the law to address urgent problems faced by children and families and to improve the systems that affect their lives. With a staff of more than 100, it works alongside DC children and families, community partners, and pro bono attorneys. Founded in 1996, the organization has directly reached more than 50,000 children and families and advocates for city-wide solutions that benefit hundreds of thousands more. In December 2024, it announced a partnership with AmeriHealth Caritas DC to provide legal advocacy services aimed at reducing housing- and health-related adverse childhood experiences and strengthening District communities. Operating in the Legal Services field, it delivers legal representation and policy advocacy to address education, health, and family stability needs.
