We are Children’s Wish Foundation International. And we measure our success in smiles! Children’s Wish Foundation International (CWFI) is a wish-granting nonprofit founded on the premise that laughter is good medicine. We bring joy to critically ill children around the world. From wish fulfillment to hospital enrichment, our numerous programs are designed to distract children from the anxieties of treatment and empower them to face the difficulties ahead. Since its inception in 1985, CWFI has fulfilled thousands of once-in-a-lifetime wishes for children in 53 countries. During the last fiscal year, our complementary programs touched the lives of over 300,000 young people. CWFI shipped 15,447 packages filled with toys, entertainment, and educational gifts to pediatric hospitals throughout the U.S. And our engaging in-patient events helped counter feelings of isolation and build a natural support group for these children and their families.
