Christian Financial Credit Union began in 1950 as St. Jude’s Parish Credit Union in Detroit, Michigan. Over time, the credit union has continued to grow. In 1998, SERF Credit Union and Northeast Catholic Credit Union merged, and the name Christian Financial was born. In January 2003, CFCU merged with Father Murray Federal Credit Union and St. Mark’s Parish Credit Union. In October 2013, CFCU merged with ARC Credit Union. As of April 1, 2020, our merger with Motor City Co-op Credit Union has grown the credit union to more than 61,000+ members. Today, Christian Financial serves anyone who lives, works, worships, or is educated in Macomb, Oakland, Wayne, or St. Clair Counties.
