Chrysalis is a nonprofit organization that assists people facing barriers to employment by offering a job-readiness curriculum, individualized supportive services, and paid transitional employment opportunities. Its program helps clients identify strengths, set goals, and develop the skills needed to obtain and retain work, supported by case management, resume preparation, mock interviews, access to computers, professional attire, and peer support groups. Since 1991, Chrysalis Enterprises has provided transitional jobs in roles such as street, highway, and building maintenance, janitorial, warehouse, and front-desk work, serving more than 100 communities and businesses across Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Centers are located in areas where homelessness and poverty are most pervasive, including Skid Row in Downtown Los Angeles, Santa Monica, the San Fernando Valley, Orange County, and the Inland Empire. In the civic and social sector, Chrysalis focuses on workforce inclusion by providing structured job-readiness support alongside paid transitional work experiences. Based in Los Angeles, the organization maintains a regional footprint through multiple centers aimed at helping clients progress toward stable employment and long-term self-sufficiency.
