Since 1964, Citromax has been producing superior lemon products for worldwide food and beverage companies. Founded by Jacob Glueck, his daughter, Vivian, assumed the tradition of hands-on management of all the Citromax companies - Citromax, Citromax Flavors and Berrymax - in 1997.

Citromax offices in Carlstadt, New Jersey, support the company’s 12,000 acres of lemon groves in Tucumán, known for a microclimate that is conducive to the growth of superior lemons and abundant crops. Experienced professionals in horticulture supervise lemon growing and harvesting and experts in production and quality control oversee the processing phase. In well-equipped laboratories, analytical professionals conduct physical, chemical, microbiological and sensory testing of these products. A modern shipping facility uses an advanced, computerized optical system for electronic sorting. Before packaging, the needs of every market segment are considered and products are appropriately packaged. Cold storage rooms carefully preserve lemons prior to shipping. 

The Citromax manufacturing plant in Tucuman, Argentina processes more than 180,000 tons of fruit each year from its state-of-the-art facility. It produces Concentrated, Cloudy Lemon Juice; Concentrated, Clarified Lemon Juice; Pasteurized Single Strength Lemon Juice; Frozen Lemon Pulp Cells; Essential Lemon Oil; Concentrated Lemon Oil; Lemon Aroma and Dried Lemon Peel. 

Citromax family of companies also includes Citromax Flavors. Citromax Flavors maintains a library of diverse flavors, including traditional and organic flavors that serve as finished flavors as well as starting points for new flavor development. Robust emulsion technology features batch size capabilities that range from 600 lbs to 42,000 lbs. Experienced flavor professionals are ready to work with customers in providing technical and marketing solutions to development challenges. The team includes specialists with expertise in bakery, confectionery, dairy and savory flavors. They maintain a strong focus on products that support health and well being while always providing the tastes that consumers prefer. The team operates from state-of-the-art flavor development and production facilities in Carlstadt, New Jersey.
