The City of Big Bear Lake, Department of Water and Power (DWP) provides water service throughout the Big Bear Valley. Serving five separate water systems covering the City of Big Bear Lake, Moonridge, Sugarloaf, Erwin Lake, Fawnskin and Lake William.

We remain focused on ensuring the safety of this resort community by providing a reliable source of water for domestic use, commercial use, and fire suppression.

Our water supply comes strictly from groundwater sources. The DWP currently operates 31 groundwater wells and 23 slant wells that supply the various water systems in the service area. The total capacity of these wells is 4,355 gpm.
