Civil Air Patrol is a non-profit organization established in 1941 that acts as the official auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force, operating within its Total Force framework. Based at Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama, CAP maintains a substantial aviation program with 555 single-engine aircraft and 2,250 small unmanned aircraft systems.
