Clean+Healthy is an advocacy organization building a just society in which toxic chemicals are unthinkable. Our work changes laws, shifts markets, and empowers people to advance innovative solutions and create a sustainable economy. We envision a clean, safe, and healthy world in which all people are free to grow and thrive. We value collaboration, authenticity, justice, foresight, and fearlessness, and seek staff who embody these. Since our founding in 2006, we have driven New York State’s environmental health leadership. We won bans on BPA in baby bottles, PFAS in food service ware, and flame retardants in furnishings. In 2020, we secured our keystone policy, the Child Safe Products Act. We have driven national retail chain buybuy BABY to establish a Restricted Substances List, phase out flame retardants in nursery items, and end presence of harmful chemicals in personal care and cleaning products. In service of this work, we have authored numerous reports, tested products and people for harmful chemicals, and presented to thousands of people across the US. Learn more: www.cleanandhealthy.org.
