• CloudHealth Technologies was founded in 2012 by Dan Phillips and Joe Kinsella. Dave Eicher joined as Co-Founder in January 2013. Based in Boston, CloudHealth Technologies was backed by Kleiner Perkins, Meritech Capital Partners, Sapphire Ventures, Scale Venture Partners, .406 Ventures, and Sigma Prime Ventures. 
• VMware acquired CloudHealth Technologies in October 2018. 
• In August 2022, VMware announced that CloudHealth is now part of the VMware Aria portfolio and will be known as VMware Aria Cost powered by CloudHealth moving forward
• In August 2023, VMware announced that CloudHealth is now part of the Tanzu Intelligence Services product family and will be known as VMware Tanzu CloudHealth moving forward
