CO-Office is a technology driven, design consultancy focused on collaborative, community-centered, mixed-use spaces and environments that tell our clients compelling stories. We specialize in a client focused design process that is centered on improving and expanding existing business models for faster ROI, greater community culture, and compelling space for work, live, and play. CO-Office was founded by Simon McGown and David Zhai and based in Harlem, NY.

We provide business model development, real estate feasibility studies, interior design, branding/experience design, spatial design, and are pioneering the use of virtual reality throughout the design and construction process. No matter what point in the life cycle of your project, we will bring our design and project management expertise to the table so we can help your family, your investment, or your business grow and flourish.

Prior to forming CO-Office, Simon developed and oversaw construction of the William and Melinda Gates Hall for the Computer Information and Science Department at Cornell University’s Ithaca Campus and the Bloomberg Center for Cornell University’s new campus on Roosevelt Island at Morphosis Architects. Simon brings his background in conceptual thinking, entrepreneurship, and project management to every client's project, designing both business models and spaces as a holistic experience and story.

Prior to forming CO-Office, David was the BIM and computational technologies lead for the design of World Trade Tower 2 at Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), where he also led research and development in virtual reality. David brings this background to each project, leading our R&D efforts and integrating new uses for technology into the design process and our clients business models.
