The Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana is a nonprofit organization focused on restoring and sustaining Louisiana’s coastal regions. Based in New Orleans, it is Louisiana’s first statewide nonprofit dedicated to coastal restoration, coordinating volunteers, membership, conferences, and newsletters to mobilize action. It also serves as a credible, informed voice on coastal restoration. Its work includes coordinating volunteer-led restoration efforts, such as planting marsh grasses and trees, and building a network that connects volunteers, members, and communities. A notable recent development is a May 2026 partnership with The Water Institute to host a biennial conference focused on the future of Louisiana's coast. As part of the environmental services sector, CRCL emphasizes community-driven restoration and serves as a coordinating hub for restoration activities across the state.
