Coastal Community Action Program is a small nonprofit organization based in Aberdeen, Washington, notable as the first Community Action Program established in the state, operating in the civic and social services space to assist residents in an economically distressed region. It provides in-home care for the elderly and disabled, along with nutrition support, energy assistance, and weatherization services, and it offers job training and life-skills development for developmentally delayed adults. The organization has pursued innovative approaches, including a wind-generated power project intended to offset reliance on government funding by selling electricity to the local Public Utility District. In February 2024, CCAP launched a transitional housing program for emancipated youth aged 16 to 18 and young adults aged 18 to 24. In early 2019, it was honored as Non-Profit of the Year.
