Collectibles Insurance Services is a niche insurer focused on protecting collectible items and the people who curate them. The firm traces its roots to 1966, when Horace Harrison, a noted stamp collector, founded Harrison & Associates to address gaps left by traditional insurers. In 1983 Harrison sold the agency to Dan Walker, who broadened the focus from stamps to a wider range of collections, and the operation, based in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, later adopted the name Collectibles Insurance Services. In 2010 the company became part of GBLI Global Indemnity, a global specialty insurer rated A by A.M. Best. A 2021 development sees Beckett Collectibles, LLC partner with Collectibles Insurance Services to provide coverage for Beckett's collectible clients.
