After building and scaling a manufacturing company from 9 employees to over 400 and successfully exiting to private equity, I believed I had achieved financial freedom—until I experienced significant capital losses during both the dot-com collapse and the 2008 financial crisis. Those experiences fundamentally reshaped my understanding of investing, risk, and stewardship.

I came to believe that enduring wealth is not built through passive allocation alone, but through disciplined operations, aligned decision-making, and active control over outcomes.

That realization led me to dedicate the next chapter of my career to becoming the type of operator I would have wanted to manage my own capital.

Through Colony Hills Capital, we have completed more than $1.3 billion in multifamily transactions over the past 17 years, primarily focused on acquiring underperforming assets in supply-constrained markets. Our strategy emphasizes operational improvement, resilient cash flow, and long-term value creation, with a historical focus on investments targeting approximately 20% IRRs.

My investment philosophy is grounded in disciplined underwriting, operational execution, and direct, consistent communication with investors—particularly during periods of market volatility.

Looking ahead, our vision is to scale beyond $600 million in acquisitions over the next five years while continuing to provide investors access to high-quality, operator-led opportunities backed by real-world experience across multiple market cycles.
