The Commission for Communications Regulation (ComReg) is Ireland's statutory regulator for the electronic communications sector, covering telecommunications, radiocommunications and broadcasting transmission, as well as the postal sector. It is based in Dublin, Ireland, and was established on 1 December 2002. As a regulatory body, it regulates these sectors. In 2025, ComReg launched the SMS Sender ID Registry to help prevent text scams. It has engaged in public outreach through events.
