The mission of the Community Foundation is to inspire philanthropy and be a catalyst for strengthening communities throughout Monterey County. We partner with individuals, families and businesses to create charitable funds to help create healthy, safe vibrant communities. We grant more than $30 million annually to hundreds of nonprofits in the areas of arts and culture, community and social services, health, education, animal welfare, environment, and historic preservation. As a community leader, the CFMC serves as a philanthropic first responder in times of disaster and brings people and organizations together to work together to address important issues.
